Yes, you live and learn but it is hard to just change a habit like that. Something that is a part of you. It takes a very conscious effort. And the main problem with changing this particular habit is that we have to believe that we deserve better. In order for us to speak up and take that ‘risk’, we have to believe we deserve the best. And how many of us believe that? We tend to believe that HE deserves the best from US. That it is our duty to make sure HE is happy. Not us. Don’t ask me why we think this but I think it needs to change soon or we are all going to be too sick to do anything:)

This is exactly the kind of stuff that “Why Men Love Bitches” talks about. I’ve definitely been there. In fact, this post makes me think about a relationship that I had with this guy that ended badly. I think that if I’d asserted myself earlier in the relationship, perhaps things wouldn’t have gotten so bad. In fact, I would’ve saved myself a bunch of heartache b/c he did a BIG no-no at the beginning. But I played the nice role and gave him the benefit of the doubt. BIG mistake. I guess you live and you learn!

haha I do that much more often now too. Just laugh. Just forget how bad you THINK it was and laugh. It’ll end. Like the other day when the twins were at the table and they both started puking at the same exact time!! I laughed. I didn’t know what else to do. I wasn’t getting close enough to get puked on so I just stood back and said HOLY &!#* and laughed. haha (Yes, I made sure they were okay first)
